Distribution: TX, OK, KS, MO, IL, LA, MS, AL, FL, GA Description/ Field Marks: See ZooKeys, 846: 90. Genitalia: See Matson et al. (2019), ZooKeys, 846: 75–116. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: subfervens (Walker, 1854) (Mieza) - MONA 1983: 2407 ssp. a. subfervens (Walker, 1854) (Mieza); TL: Texas.  psammitis Zeller, 1872 (Enaemia) - MONA 1983: [2406]  rhodocentra (Meyrick, 1913) (Mieza) - MONA 1983: [2408] ssp. b. sapeloensis (Matson & Wagner, 2019) (Lactura) Taxonomic Notes: Enaemia subfervens (Walker, 1854), n. comb. in Heppner (2019), was formerly in the genus Lactura and includes as synonyms 2406 Enaemia psammitis Zeller, 1872 and 2408 Enaemia rhodocentra (Meyrick, 1913) and includes as a subspecies Enaemia subfervens sapeloensis (Matson & Wagner, 2019) in Matson et al. (2019), ZooKeys, 846: 90.
