Similar Species:
  • Triprocris lustrans Beutenmüller, 1894 is larger, WS: 31mm.
  • Triprocris smithsoniana (Clemens, 1860) has forewing veins R2 and R3 separate and not stalked - Barnes & McDunnough (1910).

      Type locality: "Santa Catalina Mts., Babaquivera Mts., Ariz.".
  • Taxonomic Notes: Triprocris cyanea Barnes & McDunnough, 1910 was placed in the genus Harrisina in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist). Current generic placement follows Tarmann (1984), Entomofauna Supplement. 2(1): 1-176, and Tarmann & Drouet (2015), Jour. Lepid. Soc. 69(3), 209-235.
