Synonymy: sulphurea Packard 1873 (Eupistheria) - MONA 1983: 6283 olivalis Hulst 1898 (Diastictis) sulphuraria Packard 1876 (Thamnonoma) Taxonomic Notes: Macaria sulphurea (Packard, 1873), formerly placed in the genus Itame in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist) and in the genus Speranza in Ferguson (2008), is returned to genus Macaria in Sihvonen & Skou (2015) following Scoble & Krüger (2002).
