Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: subcessaria Walker 1861 (Halia) - MONA 1983: 6303 perarcuata Walker 1862 (Thera) Taxonomic Notes: Macaria subcessaria (Walker, 1861), formerly placed in the genus Itame in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist) and in the genus Speranza in Ferguson (2008), is returned to genus Macaria in Sihvonen & Skou (2015) following Scoble & Krüger (2002).
