Similar Species:	931105.2 Marathyssa pyrastis: is fould in FL. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.)
Synonymy:	furcata (Walker, 1865) (Penicillaria) - MONA 1983: 8968.1; TL: "St. Domingo". distracta (Walker, 1865) (Eutelia) nattereri of Druce, 1898; (not Felder & Rogenhofer, 1874) (Penicillaria) misappl.; TL: Jalapa, Mexico. Note: Druce (1898) illustrated a male specimen from Jalapa, Mexico which he referred to as Penicillaria nattereri Felder & Rogenhofer, 1874, a species later treated as a synonym of Eutelia auratrix (Walker, 1858). Subsequent authors applied the name nattereri Druce to his Mexican specimens and treated that name as a synonym of furcata Walker. pertanda (Dyar, 1925) (Eutelia) piratica (Schaus, 1940) (Eutelia)
Taxonomic Notes:	Marathyssa furcata (Walker, 1865), new combination following Zahiri et al. (2023), was formerly in the genus Eutelia.
