Distribution: USA: FL. Similar Species: 931105.3 Marathyssa furcata: is found in TX to AZ. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: pyrastis (Hampson, 1905) (Eutelia) - MONA 1983: [NEW]; TL: Nassau, Bahamas. furcata of authors; (not Walker, 1865) (Penicillaria) Taxonomic Notes: Marathyssa pyrastis (Hampson, 1905), rev. stat. (Lafontaine & Schmidt 2010) was previously treated as a synonym of Marathyssa furcata (Walker, 1865); new combination following Zahiri et al. (2023), was formerly in the genus Eutelia.
