  • Taxonomic Notes: Phiaris metallicana (Hübner, 1796) was formerly placed in Olethreutes; the current generic treatment follows Aarvik (2017). This species includes as a synonyms O. major (Walsingham, 1895) and O. murina (Packard, 1867) in Miller (1985), both previously treated as synonyms of O. puncticostana (Walker, 1863) in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist). Olethreutes puncticostana of authors; (not Walker, 1863) is also listed as a synonym of O. metallicain the Pohl et al. (2016). Aspila lobarzewskii (Nowicki, 1864) (Grapholitha), rev. stat., is removed from synonymy in Hu et al. (2023), Appendix S4 and is treatred as extralimital to NA.
