Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: austrinata Ferguson 2008 (Speranza); Type locality: S. Cal., Baja Taxonomic Notes: Macaria austrinata (Ferguson, 2008) n. sp., MONA Fascicle 17.2, p. 54. This species was described in the genus Speranza which is treated as a synonym of Macaria in Sihvonen & Skou (2015) following Scoble & Krüger (2002).
