Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: benigna Hulst 1898 (Diastictis) - MONA 1983: 6309 Taxonomic Notes: Macaria benigna (Hulst, 1898), formerly placed in the genus Itame in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist) and in the genus Speranza in Ferguson (2008), is returned to genus Macaria in Sihvonen & Skou (2015) following Scoble & Krüger (2002).
