Distribution: Canada: NS to western ON; USA: ME south to FL and west to IL and eastern TX and a western population in CO, UT and AZ (possibly contiguous "through northern Rockies or across the Great Plains"). - Miller et al. (2021)
Similar Species:
  • Oedemasia salicis (Edwards, 1877) is separated by range with potential overlap in the Pacific Northwest.
  • Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.)
Synonymy:
  • concinna (Smith, 1797) (Phalaena) - MONA 1983: 8010
      Type locality: Georgia.
  • nitida Packard, 1864 (Oedemasia)
      Type locality: Janesville, MD.
  • Taxonomic Notes: Oedemasia concinna (Smith, 1797), n. comb. in Becker (2014), was formerly placed in the genus Schizura.
