Distribution: Canada: southern BC; USA: WA and ID south to southeastern CA - Miller et al. (2021)
Similar Species:
  • Oedemasia concinna (Smith, 1797) is separated by range with potential overlap in the Pacific Northwest.

Synonymy:
  • salicis (Edwards, 1877) (Heterocampa)
      Type locality: Mt. Shasta, CA.
  • riversii (Behr, 1890) (Dryocampa)
      Type locality: Napa Valley, CA.
  • Taxonomic Notes: Oedemasia salicis (Edwards, 1877), rev. stat. in Miller et al. (2021), formerly treated as a subspecies of 8010 Oedemasia concinna (Smith, 1797) includes as a synonym O. riversii (Behr, 1890).
