Similar Species:
  • 931862 Sympistis euta: Variable: forewing tends to be darker with less clearly defined pattern, less checkered fringe, shorter claviform; hind wing has a yellowish-orange fringe (not white) and tends to have a narrower outer black band.

  • mirificalis (Grote, 1879) (Oncocnemis) - MONA 1983: 10069; TL: Nevada.
  • Taxonomic Notes: Sympistis mirificalis: Formerly placed in the genus Oncocnemis.
