Similar Species: 931861 Sympistis mirificalis: Variable: forewing tends to be lighter with more clearly defined pattern, more checkered fringe, longer claviform; hind wing has a white fringe (not yellowish-orange) and tends to have a wider outer black band. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: euta (Smith, 1903) (Oncocnemis) - MONA 1983: 10071; TL: Utah. Taxonomic Notes: Sympistis euta: Formerly placed in the genus Oncocnemis.
