Distribution: Northern Texas plains. Seasonality and Size: Late September - early October.  Wingspan ~ 26-32 mm. Similar Species: See 10102 - Sympistis pernotata is found west of the Continental Divide Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: apis Troubridge 2008 (Sympistis) Taxonomic Notes: Sympistis apis Troubridge, 2008, n. sp., Zootaxa, 1903:1-95.
